Abstract
-LITERARY ASSEMBLYS, FAMOUS MUSICIANS AND DANCERS, SECRET SCIENCES, THE CARAVAN JOURNEY FROM TURKISTAN TO TRANSOXIANA, AND THE EVENTS THAT DEVELOPED AROUND VÂSIFÎ-11
By Zeynüddîn-i Mahmûd-ı Vâsıfî, in the 16th century, Bedayi'u'l-vekâyi', written in Persian as a memoir in the second half of the century, attracts attention especially with the extensive and important information it contains about Turkish culture and social life. In this study, the translation of the "introduction" in Bedayi'u'l-vekâyi, which sheds light on the Turkish cultural life in the Turkestan geography and conveys it to the present day, will be included. As in the religious, scientific and literary texts of the classical period, in the section that begins with hamdele, salvele, salat and salute; First of all, the negativities caused by the invasion of the Safavids in Khorasan, the mischief caused and the persecution of the people were mentioned, and the efforts and efforts made to get rid of these were expressed. Attention was drawn to Vâsıfî's despair and intolerance due to all these negativities that occurred in Herat. Later, the journey of Ebu'l-cûd, who became famous in secret sciences, with a caravan from Khorasan to Transoxiana with a convoy of approximately five hundred people, due to his predictions about himself, was extensively mentioned. Information was given about the events that took place during this journey, which took place at the end of Muharram/April of 918/1512, the assemblies that were formed, the famous sazens, singers and dancers of the period who participated in these assemblies, the songs and poems read in this assembly and the poems that were spontaneously written during the assembly. In addition, the information given about the secret sciences, the city of Samarkand and the Ulugh Beg madrasah in this section also attracts attention.
