Abstract
Pashali-zada Abd el-kadir Hilmi (Ashik Kadri) from Osmancik and the Article Entitled “Mawlud-i Cedid-i Shah-i Risalat”
Abd el-kadir Hilmi (d. 10.2.1948) who is both “meydan”
and “kalem” poet at the same time used the makhlas
“Ashik Kadri (Kadriya)”. Besides his work “Mawlud-ı
Cedid-i Shah-i Risalat” he also has two masnavis named
“Manakıb-i Koyun Baba” and “Hilya-i Şarif” which are
not mentioned in any mawlid literature. Only M. Fatih
Köksal speaks of Abd el-kadir Hilmi’s mawlid in his work
“Mevlid-name” by referring “Nazmi” as its writer. Abd
el-kadir Hilmi’s mawlid which is a nazire to Suleyman
Chelebi’s Vesiletu’n-Necat is written in a clear and
comprehensible language. Althoug the mawlid is written
in masnavi form it starts with a prosaic preface and also
contains two murabbas between verses. The masnavi part
consist of 169 verses and murabbas are 11 bends. Mawlid
is made of seven sections and all section titles are in
Arabic.
