Abstract
Reflections from Baykara's Gathering -Literary Gatherings 2-
This study is about a literary assembly held in the house
of Hâce Emîrkâ-i Şâhî in Samarkand. Those who have participated
in this assembly from the notables of Samarkand,
tested him to determine Vâsıfî's skill in artistic letter writing/
”inşâ” and his success in both "muamma" writing
and in solving "muamma". In the examination, Vâsıfî
wrote letters on the subject that each of the participants of
the parliament wanted, using the concepts related to that
subject. In addition, written by Mevlânâ Ziyâ-i Muammâî
on a page and he has solved the solutions of seven "muamma"
given to him to solve. At the end of our article,
Persian poems and some translations in various verse
forms and genres in Vâsıfî's Hamse-i Muhayyire are given.
The response to the Katibî's “şutr-hücre” kasid and
Abdulvâsî-i Cebelî's kasid, which was named as “çâr-derçâr
or “çâr-ender-çâr”, a ghazal written in four different
poetry sizes, a poem that is both “lugaz” and “muamma”,
the verses, muvaşşah ghazal which was established from
the letters of the name of Ebu’l-gazi Muhammed Khan, rubai
that extracted from an ghazal that is an muamma, is a
part of these poems.
