Abstract
Tırnakçı-zâde Mehmed Sa’îd Zîver Bey and The His Şitâiyye in the Form of Prose
Through the recent studies, it is known Şitâiyye, know as
winter poems, was generally written verse in our classical
literature. Yet, the şitâiyye written by Tırnakçı-zâde Zîver
Bey and which is the subject of our research was written in
prose. In this şitâiyye in the form of prose, the bitter winters
in Bolu in the 19th century has been reflected in the style of
an embellished prose. This work written in a literary
language is the first and only type of its kind.
