Abstract

Turkish Arud Bibliography
Arud emerging in Arabic literature has undergone some differences in Persian literature. There is a general acceptance that arud passed into Turkish literature through Persian poetry. The prosody in Turkish poetry also differs from the prosody in Persian poetry. In the beginning, it is seen that the arud does not go far from Turkish syllable rhythm, which is its own poetry system. In Turkish poetry, prosody has established its own rules in the following centuries and has been used with increasing success. Arud applications in Turkish are also supported with some theoretical works. After the transformation that took place in the times when Turkish was compatible with its own sound structure, arud gradually withdrew from Turkish poetry. Research, review and criticism studies on Turkish prosody have been carried out especially in the second half of the 19th century. The works are divided into two branches: literature and music. In the studies, we generally encounter topics such as syllable-prosody comparison, teaching of prosody, the publication of a work related to prosody, prosody practices of a poet or period, forms-rhythms relations. In this article, the most comprehensive bibliography of the studies aiming to understand and explain Turkish arud is presented to the attention of researchers.
