Abstract
Analysis and Classification of the Poetry Mecmua Numbered 13450 in Koyunoglu Museum Library according to MESTAP
Poetry mecmua are an important treasure of Turkish
culture and history with their specific forms and contents
and they are remarkable sources of classical literature.
Research and review of poetry journals provides to
complete the missing points reviewing the existing
literature in addition to get new data. Academic studies on
poetry mecmuas have had a new view with the project
called “MESTAP”. It is aimed to contribute to the
mentioned project with this study examining a poetry
mecmua and preparing its table of contents. For this
purpose, firstly the poem journal, which is registered in the
library of Koyunoğlu Museum in Konya, numbered
13450, was introduced and examined its content. Then the
classification of content was given according to MESTAP.
In the descripton part of the mecmua, the copy
characterization, spelling and compilation properties are
indicated. In the review part, the poetry mecmua is
discussed in terms of the number of poets and poems,
genres of poems and verses of them, rhythms and nazires.
This poetry mecmua is worth to examine in terms of the
fact that the compiler and compilation date are known, also
have a very large variety of poets who lived in 15th century.
