Abstract
A Nasihatnâme in Verse Written in the 18th Century: Verdü's-Sâlihîn by Şeyh Musa Emânî
Works written with the aim of giving advice on moral, religious, and mystical issues and directing people to the good and the truth are called with their own names, also as "nasihatnâme", "pendnâme" or "öğütnâme". These works, which are written in order to raise individuals who are useful to the society and who have good morals, were processed with the advisory style and were written in verse and prose with the support of stories, verses and hadiths, in sections according to their length. One of the nasihatnâmes written in verse is Verdü's-Sâlihîn, written by Şeyh Musa Emânî who lived in the 18th century. In this study, first, the type of nasihatnâme and examples of verse-prose will be briefly mentioned, and then information will be given about the life and works of Şeyh Musa Emânî. Then, Emânî's work Verdü's-Sâlihîn will be examined in terms of form and content, and the work will be transferred to today's letters.
